We don’t really cover Astrology here too much, although a member might have something to say.

Sometimes an event can speed it up, but everybody has the ability to develop spiritual awareness and abilities (psychic perception, healing abilities, manifestation ability, mediumship, etc).
In a matter a few months, most people can develop wide open spiritual perception – if they have the proper training and guidance. It’s actually an easy process. There are various paths for achieving this, and there always has been. My opinion is that most people just don’t do it because they are either lazy, brainwashed, stubborn, arrogant, satisfied with mediocrity, or irrationally skeptical.
In fact, these things can be achieved very quickly. In our trials with thousands of people, we’ve take small sub groups and run them through specific processes. Wide open spiritual awareness was achieved quickly. The problem is most people don’t have to the tools to be comfortable in life right away with this type of awareness/ability.
This is why we spread out our training program over a period of time (10 months). Otherwise, it can be like giving someone liquid LSD and expecting them to function well in life. Not a good thing to do to somebody!
For next steps, I would suggest getting legitimate metaphysical training. You can do this with us or elsewhere (see our Life Mastery Program). I’ve met many “natural” psychics and healers over the years, and while good at what they do sometimes, many tend to be scattered, sloppy, sickly, and air heads because they don’t know how to manage, control, and focus their gifts. Proper training will help you with this.
PS: watch out for big fluffy courses where you never get to work directly from the author/creator. We’ve had opportunities (MindValley, etc) to do this with our training, and we didn’t. A massive commercialized course is a watered-down approach that gives people limited, if any, results.
Good luck on your journey.

When I looked at it, got a sense it was a form without a body.
Reality is highly populated with entities, even though most people are oblivious to it. Fortunately, most of the stuff out there is friendly, although you will encounter a lot of mischievous behavior, which I what I sensed about your encounter.
It’s not too difficult to reach a level where you can perceive these things.
Also, most shielding methods stink. Just my opinion based on working with thousands of people over the years. If you keep running into issues like this, get some better training and learn how to protect yourself. Being invaded is not a requirement.

What is your specific question? That might help if you want to get help here.

I agree. Sometimes, implying that you understand can be disastrous. For example, if you say that to someone who is suicidal, things could go really bad.
For tough situations, you can try saying “I can only imagine what it must be like” and even tell them you can’t understand. But you are still being supportive, you are still establishing rapport, which is important if you want to communicate.
I’ve seen this taught in crisis counselor training.
Whether methods like these are manipulative is something you might have to decide in the moment. But it’s a lot safer than say, taking control over someone empathically and controlling their emotions, images, thoughts, etc. That’s a lot more ethically risky and is usually only good for helping others in certain situations. Use it the wrong way and you’ll learn about how Karma works.
But with more simple communication techniques, I wouldn’t stress out about it too much. Listen to what your gut is telling you.

Based on working with so many people over the years, I believe we are all psychic. Most people have the experiences you mention, but only some people pay attention to them. And less people have control over these abilities.
And, the spiritual realm is highly populated. Loved ones and helpers are around most people. You see constant stories on the news of regular people having these encounters. Sometimes it can be imagination or mental illness, but oftentimes it’s real.
Scientist all over the world have validated the truth of this, regardless of what a few stubborn, self-serving skeptics are preaching.
To determine what you are encountering, I suggest trying to test the ability. For example, those in spirit will often show me a “unique indicator” which proves the experience is real. They may show a certain piece of jewelry or say something specific. Then, if you can verify this with a living loved one, you know you aren’t just imagining everything. This is just an example, but you can see where I’m going with this.
Learning how to visualize better and just merely focusing on these abilities will help to develop them. Like so many things in life: What you focus on, expands.
To really open up the ability, for most people it will be a matter of increasing the level of what you can tolerate. For example, if something freaks you out, it will tend to block your awareness of that experience.
This is what blocks psychic ability in most people. They may think they can handle it, but psychic experiences are too intense for them. Built up reactive patterns from strict religious backgrounds, parents, movies, peers – these things get in the way. They block out everything just as people block out childhood trauma. It’s just too much for the untrained mind to handle, or there’s too much doubt.
It’s really about getting absolute control over your emotions. The less you react, the more you will experience. There are specific methods for achieving this which are too involved to cover here. But, this is more important than learning some new method to developing psychic awareness, such as the ability to communicate with spirits.
If you are serous about it, I suggest getting some training. We have an online psychic development course here, or you may be able to find something else which is suitable to you. Regardless, I encourage you to keep going. In my opinion, it’s much better than living blind, unaware of the deeper truths in life.

Abnt – I’ve had people come to me over the years with similar issues. It’s more common than you might expect. I had one student who couldn’t shake anyone’s hand because he would see flashes of all the person’s trauma. I’ve had students come to me who were getting attacked every night by entities. These things happen.
The good news is that you can learn to control it without having to shut down your abilities. You can use your abilities to make your life easier and help others, without the abilities being a nightmare.
I’ve helped many people work through similar issues and it can be done, rather easily, with the right training. Psychic sensitivity can be turned on and off at will. I do it all the time. And no, crowds or hospitals don’t scare me. You can shift from being super-psychic to no psychic awareness at all, in an instant. We cover a detailed training approach for this in our advanced psychic develop course. Take a look and see if it’s a good fit for you. Also, see this article about psychic sensitivity
