I can’t say for sure, but I feel in my gut that our loved ones are looking out for us wherever that may be. I’ve seen or heard or had dreams of passed relatives and I truly believe they are in the afterlife and yes I think your dog is there too.

I personally can’t assure you of anything but it seems to me that if you’re hurting every day anyway then it would seem that there’s really nothing to lose if spiritual guidance doesn’t work, while on the other hand if it does work you have learned a new way of coping with you’re inner turmoil.

It could be that he wants to be the “provider” for his family. Have you tried talking to him about your feelings? If he would understand that you would like to be working and contribute to the family income, this could be beneficial. If you could get him started thinking about this — he might see the positive results.
