I do see some communication between them, although it feels like his intention is more to be with you. It does psychically feel that his intention towards you is sincere. I keep seeing something about cars, being a mechanic around him. Is that his profession when he isn’t in jail?

No. He isn’t a mechanic.

It bothers me that he lies to me about communicating with his ex. I feel like he has grown distant lately, and our conversations are small talk and less meaningful.
