I have a strong emotional connection with a fellow coworker. We are getting closer each day but he recently got divorced and is afraid of being hurt again. He has everyone thinking we’re a couple but we are not. He is very clingy and affectionate but is afraid to commit. Is it time for me to move on????
He is very afraid. I feel that you should try to help him with it and be there for him unconditionally for a small while; if he doesn’t come round and wants to be with you after that, I don’t think it would be best to keep pursuing him – it would just be painful for both of you. He isn’t ready yet, and needs to heal from his wounds and the changes that have happened in his life.
However don’t blame yourself for still liking him afterwards – it will fade if it needs to.Hope that helped 🙂
