My 11 old son is very emotional. This causes a lot of stress in our family and marriage. This keeps me from working. What else can we do to help him?

You should make your son an appointment with a psychologist. They can get to the bottom of the problem. It might be something simple like craving attention Or something of more concern like A.D.H.D.

We have been in counseling for several years. Nothing has helped. We are at the point of sending him to residential treatment center.

If its that bad, then I would send him to the treatment center. That way you can work on keeping your family and marriage together. And at the same time, your son being there at the treatment center everyday, will give them more information regarding his condition. And DON’T feel bad about it. Look at it as a way of Everyone getting the help they need. Good Luck for you and your whole family.
