**Im feeling that He definately needs to be ready to begin a mature reltionship and he may be dealing with his own insecurity issues. Possibly you are to critical on Him and it is making him feel insecure. I suggest reaching out to him and changing the critical behavior. Especially if he enjoys the quiet uneventful life he may be a bit more laid back and sensative to critisism and it may steer him away. To help him grow into a mature realationship. It takes time.
