Did I do the right thing

I used to date someone who was very dear to me and I always told them that they are my best friend.. we broke up and things got really rough and now we don’t talk at all . Is there a way to see if we will ever get to be friends again in the future ?

Could happen, but I get a psychic sense it’s going to take some time. Feels like it’s a good time to take your energy and put it elsewhere in your life. What about career, having fun, new people? I keep seeing some type of job relating to media, maybe graphic design or writing. Ever thought about this?
