Psychic Hotlines Or Cash Hotlines? |

Now not every psychic that you call that belongs to a network is a scammer, but you should be at lease cautious because of the way these deals are usually structured. Before I decided to distance myself from the commercialized psychic industry, I spent some time in the cushy Boca Raton, Florida office of a firm that runs two of the biggest psychic networks in the world. These guys are all over the internet, national magazines that you see in the checkout line, and every other advertising medium you could imagine. After talking with the CEO for a while, the truth really hit me about this industry. These guys are attorneys and professional marketers. They deal strictly with contracts, advertising, accounting, and lawsuits. Clients to them are nothing more than dollar signs on their income reports.But unfortunately, they are the one's that control what type of experience you have when you talk to one of their "psychics." Most of these types of companies claim to be “for entertainment purposes only,” but they market to people who are having real life difficulties. Their “call centers” are almost always just rooms of struggling telemarketers, reading from scripts, getting bonuses for the longest calls. There are also many companies that now dispatch calls to the "psychics"" in their homes. Regardless of where the psychic is located, the company phone systems are usually automatically set up to shoot new callers to the "psychic" that is able to keep people on the phone for the longest period of time. In other words, if you have shorter readings as a psychic, even if you are helping your clients, you stop getting as many calls. You will eventually get fired if you can't keep the calls long enough. It's not about helping people, it's about the money. Sometimes they will have "team managers" that hire, manage, and fire within their team (usually about 12 people). The managers almost never see any of the psychics they employ. They just interview and hire them over the phone. The team managers usually don't care about endorsements or training when they hire these psychics - it's more about how the person sounds on the phone and if they can keep a client on the line. There's even a trend to hire people with an experience in "Adult Entertainment Services" - I guess it's the same type of work, just a different script. And by the way, most networks only pay their psychics between $10 - $15 an hour. And this is only for when they are actually on the phone. They don't get anything for the time in between calls. These slave wages tend to repel the qualified psychics that have any dignity. Because they aren't paid fairly, many psychics working for lines will also try to scam you "on the side," just so they can feed themselves and their families. The reason I'm giving you the details of how these companies typically work is because it's helps you to see what you are up against when you call these guys for help. The rule-makers of most of these companies just want your money. So even if you have a good psychic on the phone, their reading to you is going to be structured in a way that pleases the corporate management. The only exception that I've seen with this is when you have psychics, or people that are more humanitarian motivated, at the top of the ladder. This is rarely the case though. I wish I could give you specific names of companies to avoid or to consider, but I couldn't get away with it legally. Just a general rule of thumb to consider - stay away from the networks unless you get a direct referral from someone that you admire and respect (friend or family member). Otherwise, your likely just calling up a company that has the intention to get your cash instead of helping you though a challenging time. As I mentioned before, there are some rare cases when the psychic does have legitimate abilities, even some that are on the networks. Even then, you have to make sure you're actually benefiting from your consultation. I've put together a list of the most important things I've found to look for when you are considering seeing a psychic. This list should give you the empowering knowledge to make better choices when you are dealing with psychics. You will get this list in an upcoming part of this guide.
