Create Or Change Login Method To Facebook

Postby Dale Sellers » Fri Nov 25, 2011 9:20 pm

No Need to go through the steps of creating a LifeLeap account. Now you can sign-up and login to the LifeLeap Community with your Facebook Account. Once you connect your Facebook Account with the LifeLeap Community, login is as easy as one click. This is a new feature provided to us by Facebook that is safe, secure, private, and you can cancel it at any time. Your activity in the LifeLeap Community will NOT show up on your Facebook wall; and most importantly, the connection between the LifeLeap Community and Facebook does not put your Facebook account at the risk of being hacked.

Using Facebook As A Login Is Easy And Secure

  1. All of your login information (passwords, etc) remains within Facebook - we never have access to these.
  2. You can unlink your Facebook Account from our community at any time.
  3. We will never post anything in your Facebook account - we don't even have this option.
  4. You can remain anonymous on our community while using Facebook as a login.
  5. Your conversations (topics, etc) in our community will not be shared in your Facebook Account

If You Are Not Yet A Member Of Our Community

Go to the Standard Login Page by clicking the login link in the menu (see yellow highlight):

Scroll past the standard login and signup options, and instead click on the Blue "Connect With Facebook" button (see yellow highlight):

Simply go through the "one time only" initial steps of linking your Facebook account to us (click "accept" and "yes" on the popups)

Click the link in the confirmation email sent to you and logging is from this point will be easy and simple. To login in the future, you simply click on the Blue "Connect With Facebook" button and you are instantly logged in:

If You Are A Current Member Of Our Community

Make sure that you are logged into the community (don't attempt to connect using Facebook if you are logged out). Login using the standard login method, not the Blue "Connect With Facebook" button:

Navigate to the Social Login section of your control panel and follow the simple instructions:

From this point forward, when logging into the community, use the Blue "Connect With Facebook" button for a one click login:

Additional Features Of Using Facebook As Login Method

  1. You can "pull" your Facebook profile picture into the community to use as your profile picture here
  2. You can "pull" your Facebook profile information (location, interests, etc) into the community to use as your profile information here
  3. You can have your Facebook Status appear under every topic you create or reply to in the community

To apply these helpful options, simply click the "Profile" link in the main menu, click the "Profile" tab in your control panel, and check the different "Sync With Facebook" options that you want to activate (Edit Avatar, Edit Signature, Edit Person Info, Etc):
